Fantastic 4th

Surprise! We packed up and headed out again... This time to the lake for the week of the 4th. I left with girls on Friday afternoon with my mom and we came home the following Saturday. Krista and Payton came up on Monday night and stayed the week too. The guys came and went, a night or two here and there, during the week.I thought it would be a relaxing week but Charlotte had other plans. She decided it would be more fun to spend LOTS of quality time with her mom during the night, EVERY night! I don't know what it was but she got up at least 3 times a night, if not more. And I had to get up with her so she wouldn't wake up the whole house. I was able to nap here and there but she wore me out. But in spite of her schedule it was still a good week. We had mostly good weather (couple of rainy days), really good food, and saw great fireworks on the fourth.
Sarah Grace was in heaven. Including Sarah Grace and our neighbor's kids there are 9 kids between our 2 lake houses. She played and played.... She would disappear into their house at night to watch movies, and their kids would come to our house in the morning after breakfast. She would swim and play all day, and as soon as dinner was over she was back outside to play and take "adventures" on the golf cart with her buddies. They had "jumping" contests in the water, played "pirate ship" on rafts, and putted around the cove in the paddle boat. She had a ball!

Charlotte enjoyed the lake too. She loved the water! We put her in her little boat and she'd splash and squeal. She also liked the boat...she loved the wind in her face and napping in her seat while we rode. But I'm sure her favorite part was never having to fuss for more than 5 seconds because someone was always there to pick her up... not to mention the ice cream, banana pudding and suckers she got to sample. ;0) On the 4th we all piled in the boat to go watch fireworks on the lake. Sarah Grace was really nervous this year about the noise. She had her ears covered the whole way there just in case. Once we dropped anchor to watch, she was fine and really liked them. Payton and Charlotte didn't mind them either. Charlotte actually fell asleep towards the end. When we got back to the dock we did a few sparklers of our own and Sarah Grace pretended to be the Statue of Liberty. The following Friday night my Pawpaw bought a ton of fireworks and we set them off in the yard, that night SG acted scared to death... go figure.

Oh My Gosh, I absolutely LOVE Charlotte in clips! Her cute barretts are to die for... I really am praying my little one has Tyler's thick hair but if she takes after me she will be bald until two!
