She started her end of the year festivities with a field trip to the strawberry patch. I think she ate as many as she picked. When we got there the kids listened to a story about how to grow berries and then they were let loose into the fields to pick/eat some berries. After we were done picking, we all went on a hayride and then had a picnic with her class.

Her actual graduation ceremony was in the beginning of her last week of school. She was so excited. They had prepared all kinds of songs (one with hand bells) and got to walk across the stage to get their diplomas. She had a crowd there to watch her. Payton was very impressed when she saw SG on "TV" (the projection screen) during the memories video. All the kids came out wearing "superstar" sunglasses and filed up onto the stage. It was all really well done, and the kids felt very important. ;0) Afterwards, we all went to dinner and she got flowers, presents and shopping money. She wished she could graduate every day!

At the end of the week they had their end of year party and carnival. Parents were invited to the party for pizza and cake. I spoke to her teachers and asked if there was anything we needed to work on before Kindergarten and they she was totally prepared. They also said, that they thought she was ready to read and that if we bought a certain book we could have her recognizing basic words before the Fall. After eating we went outside to play with bubbles.

She will be going to Grayson Elementary starting in August!
